The Zeynep Sultan Mosque in Istanbul was completed in 1769 for Zeynep Sultan, a daughter of Ahmed III. The architect was Mehmet Tahir Ağa, who also designed the Ayazma Mosque. The infobox lists Islamic and Ottoman architecture, while the text says it evokes Byzantine churches in style and materials, without giving specific materials or dimensions. It has one minaret.
It stands on Alemdar Caddesi across from Gülhane Park, near Hagia Sophia. The fountain in front belonged to Abdul-Hamid I's külliye and was moved there in the 1920s from the site of the 4. Vakıf Han in Eminönü. The Hamidiye Fountain sebil at the back is closed.
Alemdar Mustafa Pasha is buried in the hazîre, along with Melek Mehmet Pasha, her second husband. Zeynep Sultan's remains stay in the cellar pending a new tomb, because of road construction. A former mektep building at the back is now a primary school.
