The Zeughaus, or Arsenal, in Berlin was designed by Johann Arnold Nering and continued by Martin Grünberg, Andreas Schlüter and Jean de Bodt for Frederick III, Elector of Brandenburg. The lead gives 1695 to 1706 for construction, but the body text says 1695 to 1730.

The article calls the style Baroque and names no materials or dimensions. Georg Friedrich Hitzig added a staircase and courtyard roof. Postwar restoration is dated 1949 to 1967 in the lead and 1949 to 1965 in the body.

Rudolf von Gersdorff's 1943 assassination attempt on Hitler there failed. The East German government opened the Museum for German History in the building in 1952. It has housed the Deutsches Historisches Museum since 2003 and has been closed since June 2021 for renovation, probably until 2031. The article gives no hours.
