The Yeni Valide Mosque in Üsküdar is an Ottoman imperial complex. It was built from 1708 to 1710 in honor of Gülnuş Sultan, mother of Sultan Ahmed III, who is named as its commissioner. Kayserili Mehmed Ağa administered construction, though the article says his role is unclear. The article calls it the last of the many mosques built in Üsküdar by royal Ottoman women.
The mosque has two minarets, each with two balconies, and an octagonal base under a central dome. The complex also has a sultan's pavilion, a soup kitchen, a market row, a primary school above the north gate, a sundial room and a public fountain finished in 1709.
Hezarfen Mehmet Efendi made the Thuluth calligraphy. Gülnuş Sultan's tomb has bronze grilles and a lattice dome, and the marble fountain is topped by a palmette.
