The Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne was drawn by David W. Gibbs & Company for the State of Wyoming, and the infobox lists David Williams Gibbs and William DuBois. Groundbreaking was on September 9, 1886, and the cornerstone was laid on May 18, 1887. The infobox gives completion in 1890, but the chambers were added later, finishing in March 1917.
The style is Renaissance Revival, reminiscent of the U.S. Capitol. The walls are sandstone from Rawlins, Wyoming and Fort Collins, Colorado. The copper dome, gilded in 24-carat gold leaf, peaks at 146 feet and is 50 feet across at the base. Rotunda floors are checkerboard marble, and a cherry staircase came from Ohio.
Allen Tupper True painted four murals in each chamber in 1917. A restoration ran from 2016 to 2019 within a 299 million dollar project. It became a National Historic Landmark in 1987. Visitors can view both chambers from the third-floor balconies. The article gives no hours.
