The Wrocław Water Tower was designed by Karl Klimm, a local architect of the German era, who also designed the Zwierzyniecki Bridge. The article names no client, though the city owned the tower before 1995. The infobox gives 1905, and the text says it was built from 1904 to 1905. It is a large brick structure modeled on medieval castles, with sandstone bas-reliefs of fantastic creatures by the sculptors Taschner and Bednorz.
The tower is 207 feet (63 m) tall, with an observation deck at 138 feet (42 m). An electric lift was installed from the start.
It served as a command point in the 1945 Battle of Breslau but stayed nearly intact. It was a pressure-equalizing reservoir until the mid-1980s. Stephan Elektronik bought it in 1995 and made it a restaurant complex, and a new private investor bought it in 2017. It is no longer open to visitors.
