Wien Westbahnhof in Vienna was designed by Moritz Löhr for the k.k. privilegierte Kaiserin-Elisabeth-Bahn and opened in 1858. Hartiger & Wöhnhart designed the rebuilt station, torn down in 1949 and opened in 1952. The infobox and text agree on these dates. The article calls the original style historical, or Romantic Historism.
The original main hall was 341 feet (104 m) long and 89 feet (27.2 m) wide, with a beamed iron awning. The rebuilt station has eleven tracks and a half-timbered roof construction. A steel and glass addition for the U3 line came in 1993.
Bombing and fire damaged it in April 1945. The BahnhofCity redevelopment, which cost about 200 million euros, ran from 2008 to 2011. Long-distance services were rerouted in December 2015, and it is now mainly a commuter station owned by Austrian Federal Railways. The article gives no hours.
