The VM Houses in Ørestad, Copenhagen are two residential blocks with V- and M-shaped footprints, designed by JDS Architects and Bjarke Ingels Group. The article says Høpfner commissioned PLOT, the firm of Ingels and Julien De Smedt. The M House was completed in 2004 and the V House in 2005. It gives no construction start and names no style, but cites Le Corbusier's Unité d'Habitation as inspiration.
The M House has 95 units and the V House 114, in about 80 apartment types. Every apartment has diagonal views of the surrounding landscape, and corridors are short. Apartments can be adapted to individual needs. The article does not list materials.
Bjarke Ingels lived in the complex until 2008, when he moved to the Mountain Dwellings. It won the Forum AID Award for best building in Scandinavia in 2006.
