Villa La Rotonda on a hilltop just outside Vicenza was designed by Andrea Palladio for Paolo Almerico, and Vincenzo Scamozzi completed it. Construction began in 1567, and the introduction gives completion as 1605. Palladio died in 1580 and Almerico in 1589. The Capra brothers later acquired it, dated 1592 in the introduction and 1591 in the body.
