Villa Foscari, known as La Malcontenta, was designed by Andrea Palladio for the brothers Nicolò and Alvise Foscari. The infobox gives no construction date. The text says mid-1550s in one place and between 1558 and 1560 in another.
The article calls the style Palladian Renaissance, with a portico, large columns and a triangular pediment on a three-story facade. Stone walls carry frescoes by Battista Franco and Giambattista Zelotti. The base is 11 feet (3.4 m) high, and the site covers 14.5 acres (5.87 hectares).
Austrian troops demolished surrounding buildings in 1848. Frescoes were limewashed in the 1810s, a change not fully undone until the 1970s. Antonio Foscari restored it after buying it in 1973. It is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is open to visitors on a limited basis. The article gives no hours.
