Villa Badoer in Fratta Polesine was designed by Andrea Palladio for the Venetian noble Francesco Badoer. The dates conflict. The lead says it was designed in 1556 and built from 1557 to 1563, while the body says designed in 1554 and constructed and inhabited in 1556. The article calls it Palladian and names no materials or dimensions.
A loggia of the Ionic order with a temple-style pediment is flanked by curved barchesse, or farm wings, in the Tuscan order. The villa sits on the foundations of a medieval castle, with a raised basement and a scenographic staircase. Frescoes attributed to Giallo Fiorentino survive on the piano nobile.
It passed to public ownership in the 1960s and was fully restored. It is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The infobox gives inscription in 1994 and extension in 1996, while the text cites 1996. The northern barchessa has housed a national archaeological museum since 2009. The article gives no hours.
