The Victims of Communism Memorial stands at the intersection of Massachusetts and New Jersey Avenues and G Street NW in Washington, D.C. Sculptor Thomas Marsh made it, and it was unveiled on June 12, 2007. The Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation funded it and directed the early planning.

The memorial is a bronze statue about 10 feet (3 meters) tall. It is a replica of the Goddess of Democracy, which was based on photographs from the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests.

Inscriptions appear on the front and back of the monument. The statue's model, the Goddess of Democracy, appeared during the 1989 protests. The article does not name a separate commissioner or an architectural style.
