Unity Temple in Oak Park was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Unity Church congregation after a fire destroyed the original church in 1905. The infobox gives construction from 1905 to 1908. The text says it began on May 15, 1906, the auditorium was finished in October 1908 and the dedication was on September 26, 1909.
The Prairie style building is reinforced concrete, with a Portland cement facade washed to expose gravel and cinder-concrete roofs. The auditorium is about 64 feet (19.5 m) square and 47 feet (14.3 m) high, and the intro calls its plan a Greek cross while the history section calls it cube-shaped. It has two seating levels around a central pulpit, with no spire.
Abstract motifs replace religious imagery. A full restoration finished in 2017, and UNESCO listed it in 2019. It is an active Unitarian Universalist congregation with public tours, and the article gives no fees.
