The Trevi Fountain in Rome was designed by Nicola Salvi, who died in 1751 with it half finished, and Giuseppe Pannini completed it in 1762. Pope Clement XII organized the 1730 design contest, and the article does not say who paid for construction. The infobox and text agree that work ran from 1732 to 1762.

The article calls the style Baroque and says Bernini's unbuilt designs influenced the final work. It is mostly travertine from near Tivoli and stands 86 feet (26.3 m) high. The infobox gives a length of 49 m, while the text gives a width of 49.15 m.

Restorations came in 1988, 1998 and 2014 to 2015, the last sponsored by Fendi with added LED lighting. After a restoration it reopened in December 2024 with a 400-visitor cap. From February 2, 2026, non-residents need a 2 euro ticket from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., or from 11 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays.
