Trento Cathedral was rebuilt by Adamo d'Arogno, a Comacine master from Ticino, for Prince-Bishop Federico Vanga. The infobox gives a 1145 consecration, a 1212 groundbreaking and a 1743 completion. The text confirms the 1212 cornerstone but says the completion and consecration dates of the new building are unknown because work spanned more than a century.
The article calls the style Romanesque-Gothic, though it says the classification is debated. The naves are Gothic, while the choir, presbytery and transept are older Romanesque work. It uses local ammonitic stone. The original nave was about 46 feet (14 m) wide and over 141 feet (43 m) long.
The Council of Trent met there from 1545 to 1563. Bombing damaged it in 1944, and restoration ran from 2017 to 2022. It is the main church of the Archdiocese of Trento, a minor basilica since 1913 and a national monument since 1940. The article gives no hours.
