The Met is a 66-story residential condominium on Sathorn Road in Bangkok. WOHA and Tandem Architects designed it for Pebble Bay (Thailand), a subsidiary of Singapore's Hotel Properties Limited. Construction ran from 2005 to 2009. The article names no style.
It is 748 feet (228 m) tall and holds 370 units. Six towers are joined by sky bridges, with terraces, pools and sky gardens in the gaps. Sunshades, overhangs, living green walls and staggered massing keep it cool, and cross-ventilated homes let residents avoid air conditioning. Balconies carry private planters. It stands between BTS Skytrain and MRT stations.
In 2012 it was the tallest condominium in Thailand and the fourth-tallest building in Bangkok. Awards include the 2010 International Highrise Award and the 2011 RIBA Lubetkin Prize. In 2023 a court revoked a permit for a neighboring project after a lawsuit by The Met.
