The Interlace is a residential complex at 180 Depot Road, on the edge of Bukit Merah and Queenstown in Singapore. Ole Scheeren and OMA designed it for developer CapitaLand. RSP Architects Planners & Engineers was project architect through completion. Construction began in 2007 and finished in 2013. It replaced the Gillman Heights condominium, whose collective sale proved controversial.
Instead of a tower, the article describes 31 six-story blocks staggered in a hexagonal pattern around eight courtyards, stacked up to four high at the center. The result looks like a loose Jenga stack. Height is 291 feet (88.7 m), and the 20-acre (8 ha) site holds 1,040 homes. Courtyards have swimming pools, and the grounds include a gym and tennis courts.
It was named World Building of the Year at the 2015 World Architecture Festival. The article describes the style as contemporary and gives no visiting information.
