The Temple of Peace, also called the Forum of Vespasian, was built from 71 AD southeast of the Roman Forum. Vespasian was the patron, though Statius credits Domitian with largely completing it, and the article notes the point is debated. It names no architect, style, dimensions or building materials.

An apse opened onto a large portico, and columns separated the temple from a central grassy area that likely held gardens, pools and statues. The article says this differed from most other fora, which were paved. It was paid for with spoils from the sack of Jerusalem and decorated with treasures including the menorah.

Fire destroyed it in 192 AD, and Septimius Severus restored it around 203. Alaric's sack of Rome in 410 damaged it, and it was never restored. Very little survives, so its layout is known largely from the Forma Urbis.
