The Expiatory Church of the Sacred Heart on Tibidabo in Barcelona was designed by Enric Sagnier, and his son Josep Maria Sagnier i Vidal completed it. The article names no explicit client. A Board of Catholic Knights bought the land and gave it to Saint John Bosco in 1886, and Dorotea de Chopitea is named as patron. The infobox and text agree on groundbreaking in 1902 and completion in 1961. The first stone was laid on December 28, 1902, the crypt was built from 1903 to 1911 and the main church from 1915 to 1951.

The upper church is neo-Gothic, the crypt neo-Byzantine and the exterior a Romanesque-style stone fortress. It uses Montjuïc stone, alabaster, mosaics and stained glass. The infobox gives a length of 60 m.

The statue by Frederic Marès was destroyed in 1936, and Josep Miret's replacement was installed in 1950. It became a minor basilica in 1961. The article gives no hours.
