The Taipei Performing Arts Center in Shilin District was designed by David Gianotten and Rem Koolhaas of OMA. The Department of Cultural Affairs of the Taipei City Government owns it. Ground was broken on February 28, 2012, and the building topped out on August 27, 2014. The facade was revealed on August 31, 2016, and the official opening was July 2, 2022. It was called the Taipei Arts Center from 2004 to 2014.

The article describes geometrical shapes, including a cube-shaped structure. The total floor area is 50,000 square meters (538,000 sq ft). A sphere-shaped playhouse seats 800, an asymmetrical Grand Theater seats 1,500 and the Blue Box for experimental work seats 500.

The cost was NT$6.75 billion in the infobox, while the text says NT$5.4 billion. Jiantan Station of the Taipei Metro serves it.
