Suvarnabhumi Airport is Bangkok's main international airport, about 16 miles (25 km) from downtown in Bang Phli district, Samut Prakan. Helmut Jahn of Murphy/Jahn designed the terminal. Airports of Thailand owns and runs it. It opened fully on September 28, 2006. The article names no style and no construction start.

The terminal has a cantilevered, wavelike roof whose bays seem to float over the concourse. Eight composite trusses of 2,710 tons each support it, under a three-layer translucent membrane. The main terminal covers about 563,000 square meters, the largest single-phase terminal at completion. The original control tower, 132 meters, was the world's tallest free-standing tower from 2006 to 2014. Cost was estimated at 155 billion baht.

It handled 62.9 million passengers in 2025. The Airport Rail Link reaches Phaya Thai. Delays came from overruns, flaws and corruption allegations.
