The Sunshine Skyway Bridge crosses the lower part of Tampa Bay in Florida and links St. Petersburg with Terra Ceia. Figg & Muller Engineering Group designed it, and American Bridge Company built it. The Florida Department of Transportation owns and maintains it. Construction began in June 1982 according to the infobox, or January 1983 according to the text, and the bridge opened on April 20, 1987.

The total length is 4.14 miles (6.7 kilometers), and the longest span is 1,200 feet (366 meters). The central span is cable-stayed, with beam-bridge approaches. The structure uses steel and concrete.

Four tolled lanes carry I-275 and US 19. The bridge has 181 feet (55 meters) of clearance, and protective dolphins surround the piers.
