The Castle of the Sułkowski Princes stands in the old town of Bielsko-Biała, Poland. The oldest part of the castle dates to the 14th century, and Piast dukes used it as a residence for over two centuries.
It is a city castle built into the town's fortifications, forming their strongest section. It guarded a border for centuries, later the Czech-Polish border and, from 1526, the Austrian-Polish border. In 1752 the Bielsko state was raised to a duchy under the Sułkowski family, who owned the castle until 1945. Its present appearance comes from a thorough reconstruction in the second half of the 19th century.
Since 1983 it has housed the Bielsko-Biała Museum, now the Bielsko-Biała Historical Museum. The first floor holds a hunting room and armoury, a gallery of 19th- and 20th-century painting and prints, and displays on the city's history.
