The Stuttgart TV Tower was designed by Heinle, Wischer and Partner according to the infobox, with Fritz Leonhardt as engineer, for Süddeutscher Rundfunk, now SWR. The infobox and text agree that construction began on January 10, 1954 and it entered service on February 5, 1956. The text says construction took 20 months, though those dates span about 25.

The infobox lists Modernism, and the tower was the first telecommunications tower built of reinforced concrete. It is 711 feet (216.61 m) tall and weighs about 3,000 tons, and the observation decks are at 504 and 492 feet (153.5 and 150 m). The tower basket is up to 49 feet (15 m) wide.

It cost 4.2 million marks and was controversial. It closed to the public in March 2013 for a fire safety review and reopened on January 30, 2016. It broadcasts FM radio and has a Panorama Café. The article gives no hours.
