Stolzenfels Castle near Koblenz was rebuilt by Johann Claudius von Lassaulx, with Karl Friedrich Schinkel producing the draft and Friedrich August Stüler the building design, for Frederick William IV of Prussia, who was given the ruin in 1823 as crown prince. The infobox gives 1836 to 1842, but the text gives no 1836 start and says the palace was inaugurated on September 14, 1842.

The article calls the style Gothic Revival and gives no materials or dimensions. The medieval fortification of 1259 protected a Rhine toll station, and the French destroyed it in 1689. Interior work was completed in 1850.

A Gothic chapel was inaugurated in 1845 during a visit by Queen Victoria. It has been part of the UNESCO Upper Middle Rhine Valley since 2002, was renovated and reopened in 2011 and is open to the public. The article gives no hours.
