The Stockholm Observatory in Observatorielunden was designed by Carl Hårleman according to the text, and the infobox names no architect. The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences founded it on the initiative of its secretary, Per Elvius. Construction ran from 1748 to 1753, and the infobox gives no dates.

The article names no style or building materials. Weather records date back to 1754, and Pehr Wilhelm Wargentin was the first head, followed by Hugo Gyldén and Bertil Lindblad. A newer observatory at Saltsjöbaden by Axel Anderberg was completed in 1931 and operated until 2001.

Research moved from the Academy to Stockholm University in 1973, and the research institute has been in AlbaNova University Centre since 2001. The old observatory is now a museum where visitors can see the city from the dome, and the site has sculptures and a walled garden. The article gives no hours.
