The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam is a museum of modern art, contemporary art and design at Museumplein 10. Adriaan Willem Weissman designed the 19th-century building, built in 1891 to 1895, which opened on September 14, 1895. Benthem Crouwel Architects designed the connecting 21st-century wing, which houses the current entrance. The article calls the original building Dutch Neo-Renaissance, in pale stone and red brick.

The wing has a large glass entrance facing Museum Square and about 8,000 square meters of exhibition space, double the previous amount. It also holds a shop, restaurant, library and auditorium. Plans by Robert Venturi and Álvaro Siza were not built.

The museum closed in 2004 for fire regulations, and major construction began in late 2008. It reopened on September 23, 2012, after a 127 million euro project. It is a foundation that leases the building from the city. The article gives no hours.
