The St. Regis Mexico City, at Paseo de la Reforma 439 in front of the Diana Fountain roundabout, was designed by César Pelli. Marriott International manages it. Construction began in November 2004, the building was completed in January 2008, and operations began in June 2008. The article names no style and gives no owner, though it nicknames the tower the vase.

The roof stands at 150.1 meters on 32 floors, with column-free floors averaging 1,750 to 1,825 square meters. The facade uses glass panes 2.3 centimeters thick. The foundation has 225 concrete piles reaching 55 meters deep, plus 65 seismic shock absorbers.

The article says it is rated for earthquakes up to 8.5 on the Richter scale and winds up to 257 km/h. It holds a hotel, luxury residences and commercial space on floors one to three. Seven underground levels hold parking for 2,000 cars.
