St Mary's Cathedral in Edinburgh was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott and funded by a bequest from the sisters Barbara and Mary Walker, administered by the Walker Trustees, for the Episcopal Church. G. W. Booth built it. The foundation stone was laid on May 21, 1874, the nave opened on January 25, 1879 and it was consecrated on October 30, 1879. The infobox gives no dates.
The style is Victorian Gothic Revival, and it is Category A listed. The main spire is 295 feet (90 m), and there are three spires in total. John Oldrid Scott designed the Song School and reredos, and Charles Marriott Oldrid Scott the west spires, begun in 1913 and finished in 1917. The reredos is alabaster with inlaid marble.
Daily services, concerts and exhibitions take place, and Song School tours run at certain times of year. The article gives no hours or fees.
