St Eugene's Cathedral in Derry was designed by James Joseph McCarthy. The article names no client and calls it the mother church of the Diocese of Derry. Fundraising began in 1840, construction began in 1849 and it opened on May 4, 1873. Work on the bell tower and spire ran from August 13, 1900 to June 19, 1903. The total cost was just over 40,000 pounds.

The style is Gothic Revival, described as a simple neo-Gothic expression. The text gives no dimensions or main building materials. Stained glass was installed in the late 1890s, and a stone statue of Saint Eugene stands on the bell tower. The organ is in a west-end gallery.

The infobox gives consecration on April 21, 1936, but the text says Bishop Edward Daly consecrated the reopened interior on December 17, 1989. As of March 2025, Mass was held daily, with several services on Sundays from 7:00 am.
