The Spertus Institute building at 610 South Michigan Avenue in Chicago was designed by Krueck Sexton Partners and opened in November 2007. The Institute, founded in 1924 as Chicago's College of Jewish Studies, occupies it. The article names no style, owner or construction start. It cost about $50 million.
Its main feature is a faceted glass window wall ten stories tall. The wall uses 726 pieces of glass in 556 different shapes and frames views of the Chicago skyline, Grant Park and Lake Michigan. Inside, interconnected spaces hold classrooms, offices, a library, a 400-seat theater and open event spaces.
It was the first new construction in the Historic Michigan Boulevard District after the district became a Chicago Landmark in 2002. The building won an AIA Chicago Distinguished Building Award and a Divine Detail Award. The article gives no hours.
