Shattuck Hall is a three-story red brick building at 1914 SW Park Avenue in Portland, Oregon. It was completed in 1915 as Shattuck Normal School, an elementary school designed by Floyd Archibald Naramore, architect for Portland Public Schools. It had a gymnasium, a large assembly hall and a basement pool.
A major remodel finished in 2008, credited to SRG, added seismic bracing, accessibility improvements and systems upgrades. It exposed the original plank-formed concrete structure and created multi-level open-plan studios, fabrication workshops, gallery spaces and seminar rooms. A courtyard for the School of Architecture followed in 2010.
The building and its one-story annex total 73,082 gross square feet (6,790 square meters). Portland State's School of Architecture and School of Art and Design occupy it. The university's page gives two different LEED levels for the remodel, so the certification is not stated here.
