The Scuola Grande di San Marco in Venice was built by the Confraternity of San Marco in 1260, and a fire destroyed it in 1485. Pietro Lombardo redesigned the rebuilt building, and Mauro Codussi completed the facade. Rebuilding took about twenty years, and the article gives no completion year.
The article calls the style Renaissance classicism, with arches and niches that add a Byzantine flavor. The ground-floor trompe-l'oeil portals are in different marbles, and polished marble and white or polychrome marble statues decorate the facade. It gives no dimensions.
It became an Austrian military hospital in 1819 and is now a civil hospital, a claim tagged as needing a citation. Since 2013 it has been part of the Polo Museale della Scuola Grande di San Marco. Save Venice, the Getty Grant Program and others funded facade conservation from 2000 to 2005. The article gives no hours.
