Scharinska villan, at Storgatan 63 to 65 in Umeå, was designed by Ragnar Östberg and built in 1904 and 1905 for Egil Unander-Scharin and his family. Unander-Scharin first consulted the architects Gustav Hermansson and Ernst Stenhammar but was not satisfied with their suggestions. The infobox lists the style as Victorian, while the text calls the exterior somewhat Victorian, with Rococo-inspired wrought-iron balconies.
The house has three stories and a slightly reddish refurbished facade, with prominent arched windows on the ground floor. The interior is wood-paneled except the Spanish Hall, which has mosaics from Spain. A relief by Östberg on the entrance door shows seven faces, for the seven Scharin children.
The family sold it to Umeå municipality in 1959, which restored it. It became a listed building in 1981. A student union used it from 1996 to 2003, and a rock club from 2006 to 2013.
