Säynätsalo Town Hall was designed by Alvar Aalto for the municipality of Säynätsalo, which merged with Jyväskylä in 1993. Aalto won the design competition in 1949 with an entry named Curia, inspired by Italian Renaissance courtyard arrangements. The building was completed in December 1951. The article gives no construction start.

It has three stories, with a U-shaped council and administrative building around an elevated central courtyard. Brick dominates, with timber and copper accents, and the bricks are laid slightly off-line. The double-height council chamber is capped by butterfly trusses.

The article ties the design to Finnish vernacular architecture and Italian Renaissance humanism. The building is part of the Aalto works inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2026. Much of its mixed-use space is now offices. The article gives no hours.
