The Sapporo TV Tower in Odori Park was designed by Tachū Naitō, who is also known for Tokyo Tower. The article names no client, style or materials. It was built in 1957, and the infobox gives an opening date of August 24, 1957. Construction cost 170 million yen.

The antenna spire reaches 483 feet (147.2 m), and the observation deck sits at 297 feet (90.4 m). The infobox lists five floors, while the text describes ground, second and third floors plus a basement. Digital clocks donated by Matsushita Electric were added in 1961 at 213 feet (65 m).

The clocks were repaired in 1998 and 2006, when LEDs were adopted, and renovations followed in 2002. A 650 m replacement tower was proposed in 2007. Visitors buy tickets at the third floor lift. The article gives no hours.
