Santa Maria Assunta di Carignano is a Roman Catholic church in the Carignano district, on the hills above the center of Genoa. It is a national monument, and it was consecrated in 1951. The ground was broken in 1522 and the church was completed in the nineteenth century. The exterior is Renaissance, with a Neoclassical main facade, and the interior is decorated in late Renaissance and Baroque styles.
The plan is a Greek cross with four similar facades, five domes and two square bell towers. The original design had four towers.
Pierre Puget made statues of Blessed Alessandro Sauli and St Sebastian for the dome niches in 1668. The marble and bronze main altar of 1700 was designed by Massimiliano Soldani, and the bronze crucifix is by Pietro Tacca. The sacristy has a Holy Family by Luca Cambiaso.
