Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral in Cork was designed by William Burges, who also designed most of its sculpture, stained glass, mosaics and furniture, for the Church of Ireland. The infobox gives groundbreaking in 1865 and completion in 1879. The text says work began in 1863, the foundation stone was laid on January 12, 1865 and the cathedral was consecrated in 1870, with spires finished in 1879.
The style is Gothic Revival, with three spires. The text conflicts on the stone, with one passage citing Little Island and Fermoy and another saying the limestone came from near Cork. The cathedral is about 180 feet (55 m) long, with about 1,260 sculptures and 74 stained glass windows.
A restoration in the late 20th century cost 5 million pounds. The bells were expanded in 2008. It is a cathedral of the Church of Ireland diocese of Cork, Cloyne and Ross. The article gives no hours.
