The Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad was designed by Bimal Patel and his firm HCP Design, Planning and Management. The Sabarmati River Front Development Corporation, a special purpose vehicle set up by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation in 1997, developed it. Construction began in 2005 and facilities are added in phases. Some lower promenade sections opened on August 15, 2012. The article gives no style.

Phase 1 reclaimed 202.79 hectares along an 11.25-kilometer stretch with concrete embankments. The promenades are 6 to 18 meters wide, and the riverfront will reach 34 kilometers.

It has 31 ghats, three boating stations, the Atal Pedestrian Bridge, an events ground and a 5-hectare flower park. About 1,400 crore rupees had been spent by November 2019.
