The Royal Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso in Segovia was built for King Philip V. Teodoro Ardemans began the design, Andrea Procaccini and Sempronio Subisati followed, and Filippo Juvarra gave it its final character, assisted by Giovanni Battista Sacchetti. Construction began in 1721, and the infobox and text agree. It became royal property in 1724.

The article calls it a restrained Baroque palace with formal French-style gardens, modeled on Versailles. It has Carrara marble rooms, Japanese lacquerware and crystal chandeliers. The palace covers 25,000 square meters. The infobox gives the gardens as 146 hectares, while the text gives 1,500 acres.

Philip's planned 1724 abdication was reversed when his heir, Louis I, died. A 1918 fire damaged the palace and many interiors were lost. Patrimonio Nacional manages it as a museum open to the public. The article gives no hours or ticket prices.
