The Royal Festival Hall on the Southbank in London was designed by Robert Matthew and Leslie Martin, with Peter Moro, for the London County Council. Robin Day designed the furniture. The infobox says work began in 1948 and took 18 months. The text says the foundation stone was laid in 1949 and the hall opened on May 3, 1951.

The article calls the style Modernist. It uses reinforced concrete, fine woods and Derbyshire fossilized limestone. A 1964 extension added about 30 feet to the footprint. Seating was originally 2,901, and the infobox lists 2,700 now, while the text gives 2,788 after the 2007 renovation.

The 2005 to 2007 renovation cost 111 million pounds in the infobox and 91 million in the text. The organ was reinstalled from 2012 to 2014. The Southbank Centre runs it, and the Grade I listed hall hosts concerts, dance and talks. The article gives no hours.
