The Royal Castle in Poznań was begun in 1249, probably by Przemysł I, with his son Przemysł II later building a larger castle. The infobox names Witold Milewski for the reconstruction, and the text names no architect for the original. The infobox gives completion in the late 13th century, while the text says it was finished before 1337.
The infobox lists Romanesque and Gothic, but the text adds a Renaissance rebuild by Andrzej II Górka after the 1536 fire. The main building measured 207 by 57 feet (63 by 17.5 m) with three levels and a basement. The first tower was brick. A second-floor hall could hold 2,000 guests.
Prussians demolished the southern part in 1804, and the remainder was demolished in February 1945. Reconstruction began on December 20, 2010. The Royal Kitchen pavilion, built from 1959 to 1964 on the base of the oldest tower, and a museum of applied arts are here. The article gives no hours.
