The Rolling Bridge crosses an inlet of the Grand Union Canal at Paddington Basin in London. Thomas Heatherwick conceived it, and Heatherwick Studio designed it with engineering by SKM Anthony Hunts and Packman Lucas. The text gives 2004 as completion, while the infobox gives 2005. The article names no client or style, and it calls the bridge a kinetic sculpture.

It is 39 feet (12 m) long and has eight triangular steel sections joined by hydraulic cylinders, with a lightweight deck. When it retracts, it curls until its ends meet, forming an octagon that spans half the width of the waterway. It takes two to three minutes to move in either direction and uses fourteen hydraulic rams.

It cost £500,000 and won the British Structural Steel Design Award. The article says it opens on Wednesdays and Fridays at noon and Saturdays at 2 p.m.
