Queen Alia International Airport, about 19 miles (30 km) south of Amman, has a new terminal by Foster + Partners. The article names no individual architect. The Government of Jordan owns the airport, and Airport International Group runs it under a 25-year concession awarded in 2007. The original airport dates to 1983. The new terminal was inaugurated on March 14, 2013, and began full operations on March 21. The article gives no construction start date or architectural style.

The roof is a set of 127 concrete domes, each weighing up to 600 metric tons, inspired by Bedouin tents. The terminal investment was about $750 million, and a second phase finished in 2016 at about $1 billion. Capacity rose from 3.5 million passengers a year to 7.5 million, then 12 million.

There are two runways, each 12,008 feet (3,660 m) long, and retail space of over 6,000 square meters.
