The Prince of Wales Bridge spans the River Severn between England and Wales. Architect Ronald Weeks of the Percy Thomas Partnership designed it, with engineering design by Halcrow Group and SEEE. Severn River Crossing plc held the concession. Construction began on April 26, 1992, and the bridge opened on June 5, 1996. Ownership passed to the UK government in January 2018, and National Highways operates it.

The bridge has a cable-stayed central section with segmental approach viaducts. The total length is 16,824 feet (5,128 meters), and the main span is 1,496 feet (456 meters).

The structure uses steel plate girders, a concrete slab and pre-stressed concrete pylons. The deck is 114 feet (34.6 meters) wide and is supported by 240 cables.
