Prem Mandir is a Hindu temple in Vrindavan, Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh, India, established by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. The foundation stone was laid on January 14, 2001, and construction took about 12 years. The inauguration ceremony ran from February 15 to 17, 2012, and the temple opened to the public on February 17.
About 1,000 artisans worked on it. The style is described as Rajasthani Somnath Gujarati architecture. Radha Govind is enshrined on the first level and Sita Ram on the second. Leelas of Krishna and Rasik saints are carved across the main temple walls, and life-size depictions show four Krishna leelas: Jhulan, Govardhan, Raas and Kaliya Naag.
The complex covers 55 acres (22 hectares) and is surrounded by gardens and fountains. A dome-shaped, pillar-less satsang hall of about 73,000 square feet (6,800 m²) holds 25,000 people. The temple cost 150 crore rupees, or about $23 million.
