Pistoia Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Zeno of Verona, is the seat of the Bishop of Pistoia. It was most probably built in the 10th century. A cathedral is first mentioned in 923, and an earlier 5th-century building is only speculated. The article names no architect or client, and gives no materials or dimensions. The infobox lists Romanesque and Baroque, with a Romanesque facade and a Baroque apse of 1598 to 1614.

A fire in 1108 damaged it, and the altar was dedicated in 1145. Another fire struck in 1202, the aisles were vaulted in 1274 to 1275 and an earthquake damaged the building in 1298. The facade was reconstructed from 1379 to 1440. Andrea della Robbia decorated the portico and central portal, finishing in 1505.

The main restoration ran from 1952 to 1999, and the cathedral remains in active use.
