The Pisa Baptistery was begun by Diotisalvi, and Nicola Pisano continued the work after Diotisalvi's death. The article names no client. The text gives a start in 1152 and a completion in 1363, and the infobox lists only the 1363 completion, so the sources do not conflict.

The article describes Romanesque lower levels with Gothic upper sections. It uses bichromatic Carrara marble, white with blue-gray horizontal bands. The baptistery is 180 feet (54.86 m) high and 112 feet (34.13 m) in diameter, the largest in Italy.

It has an octagonal font dated 1246 and Nicola Pisano's pulpit from 1255 to 1260. An outer cupola was added over the original pyramidal roof, and the building leans 0.6 degrees toward the cathedral. UNESCO listed it in 1987. It stands in the Piazza del Duomo complex. The article gives no hours.
