The Philharmonie Luxembourg was designed by Christian de Portzamparc, selected in 1997 through an international competition, with Albert Yaying Xu and AVEL Acoustique on acoustics. The Luxembourg State created the public establishment for it by a law of November 21, 2002. The infobox gives groundbreaking in 2002 and opening on June 26, 2005, which matches the text's spring 2002 to summer 2005. The article names no style.

The Grand Auditorium follows a shoebox concept, with eight irregularly placed box towers and almost 20,000 cubic meters. It seats up to 1,500, and the infobox lists 300 chamber hall seats while the text says up to 313. The facade has 823 white steel columns, and aluminum covers the chamber hall and ticket office shells.

The Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra has been in residence since opening and merged with the Philharmonie in January 2012. The article gives no hours, prices or total cost.
