The Pérez Art Museum Miami at 1103 Biscayne Boulevard was designed by Herzog & de Meuron, with Christine Binswanger as project architect. It was built through a public-private partnership with the City of Miami and Miami-Dade County for the Miami Art Museum. Construction began in November 2010, and it opened in December 2013. The article names no style and says the structure is meant to resemble Stiltsville.

The building has three stories and 200,000 square feet, 120,000 interior and 80,000 exterior. A grand staircase to the waterfront spans nearly 180 feet. Hanging vertical gardens use 80 species of local plants.

Sources conflict on cost, giving 131 million and 220 million dollars. Funding included 100 million from county voter bonds and 120 million from private donors.
