The Palace of Justice in Rome was designed by Guglielmo Calderini of Perugia. The article names no client, but Justice Minister Giuseppe Zanardelli insisted on the Prati site and laid the foundation stone on March 14, 1888. The text gives construction as 1888 to 1910, yet says it opened on January 11, 1911, twenty-two years after construction began, which does not match 1888. The infobox lists no dates.

The article says the design was inspired by late Renaissance and Baroque architecture. It is covered in travertine limestone, on a massive concrete platform under the foundations because of alluvial soil. The building measures 558 by 509 feet (170 by 155 m). A bronze quadriga was added in 1926.

A 1912 parliamentary inquiry into suspected corruption gave it the nickname Palazzaccio. Settlement led to restoration starting in 1970. The article gives no access rules or hours.
